within it an impressive fictional life. 

eight cadavers are temporarily resurrected by Résurrectine, a matter based on erythrite which, injected in liquid form into their skulls, exactly above their right ears, allows them to reproduce endlessly, with a rigorous and invariable exactness, the slightest movements made in certain significant moments of their lives. 

.. and the illusion of life was absolute.
